Minister of Decentralization and Local Development paid maiden visit to OPIC

The Minister of Decentralization and Local Development, Georges Elanga Obam on Tuesday 02 May paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator. The brief stopover which lasted for at least an hour was the first of its kind since the institution occupied it premises in July 2022.

On arrival at the premises of OPIC, the Minister accompanied by the Governor of the South-West Region, the President of the South-West Regional Assembly, the Senior Divisional Officer of Fako and other members of his entourage was welcomed by the Public Independent Conciliator, Mme Telelen Dorothy Atabong spouse Motaze and the staff.

This was followed by a guided tour of the offices and a formal presentation of the staff by Mme the Public Independent Conciliator. At each office, the MINDEVVEL boss choke hands with staff giving them words of encouragement.

The Minister made a final stop in the office of the Public Independent Conciliator where he had a brief tete-a-tete meeting with Public Independent Conciliator. While in the office of the PIC gave the Minister a symbolic gift and the day was crowned with the signing of the Visitor’s Book by the minister.
